Dominic Murphy director of Strategic Financial Advice, joined the financial planning industry in 1994 and has seen its transition from product sales with scant regard for the client to a profession where the client’s financial needs and requirements are paramount.
As an early adopter of fee for service advice the industry is becoming more aligned with Dominic’s ethical view of the world.
He has seen the Australian economy have 27 years of uninterrupted prosperity but has experienced lows such as the Recession of the 90’s. The demise of the Tech boom in 2000 and most recently the Global Financial crisis of 2007-2008. Throughout, his advice is centered on trying to minimise risk and supporting his clients on their financial journey through all manner of ups and downs.
Dominic is part of a unique group in the financial planning industry, being both a qualified accountant and financial advisor.
